Welcome
Who Are We?
The Lindale church of Christ is a group of Christians seeking to honor God and uplift one another. We do so by reading Scripture and following the pattern of Truth delivered in the first century and preserved in the Word of God.
We are also a family. We have a special, Christ-centered love for one another, and so we support and help one another as true brothers and sisters.
If you are interested in Bible study and meeting people who love the Truth with all their heart, soul, mind and strength, please come and visit us soon!
What To Expect?
First and foremost – Bring your Bible: you will need it! Our classes and worship services are centered on study. We gather to learn and understand and apply the Bible (Romans 10:17; II Timothy 4:13).
Second – There will be singing! We love to sing. There are no instruments in our worship assembly. The reason for that is simple – Christians in the first century did not use instruments in worship, they used their voices (Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16; I Corinthians 14:26; Hebrews 13:15).
Third - All Christians partake of the Lord’s Supper. Each first day of the week we remember the Lord’s death, just as He instructed, by partaking of unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine (Matthew 26:26-29; Acts 20:7; I Corinthians 11:23-28).
In addition to these, there will be fervent prayers offered by righteous men on our behalf. There will be a contribution, but that is only the responsibility of our members. If you are able to come early for Bible classes, there will be studies for all ages. We hope this has garnered your interest and we can worship with you soon. You are welcome here.
How Do I Become A Christian?
If you are unsure if you are a member of Christ’s church, having been cleansed by His blood and added to His body, please consider reading the passages below:
- One must Believe in Jesus – John 3:16; John 8:24
- One must Confess Jesus is Christ – Acts 8:35-39; Romans 10:9-10
- One must Repent of Past Sins – Acts 2:38; Acts 3:19
- One must be Baptized in Water – Acts 2:38; 22:16; I Peter 3:21
- One must live Faithful to Jesus – I Corinthians 15:58; Romans 11:22
